Body plug almost ready. The final plug is the mother of the body. From the plug we make moulds from which we make body parts. The first basic BEBI plug started its life in Italy where it was build up like a wooden boat but upside down. Now more than a year later it has been developed to the final shape with details, air intakes, lights and interior. It is now completed and moulds will be taken from the plug. Then the first real body parts will be made and finally the first prototype will be build for testing and presentations. Prototype 2 already planned The idea of building prototypes is to test and learn what to develop. Even now before the first prototype is completed we have seen changes that has to be made before the final BEBI is decided and when testing is completed we will have discovered even more changes to be made. When the clay modelling at Formetch was completed we had the complete car 3D scanned by Metimur AB in Gothenburg. The scanning is a fantastic platform for building prototype 2 in the computer. Tue Beijer will build the exterior surfaces and Formtech will then make the final construction that results in final body tools.
